When In Discomfort…
Don’t Quit Before the Miracle Happens!!
12 Step Recovery rooms have often told attendees: “Do not quit before the miracle happens!” I love that saying, and I add: When in discomfort, do not quit until the miracle happens! I say that because that has been my life for the last 2 and 1/2 years! Making the decision to sell the farm, relocate to wherever, move my practice, move the horses, move myself…WHEW! It is exhausting even as I write about it! During that process, I continued to offer horse circles, sessions, lessons, all of the above! Even in the midst of constant and continuous unknowing, I stayed true to what the horses have taught me…Stay in the present moment, be of service to others, let the horses touch lives, and don’t lose faith. Easier said than done, for sure. Along the way, there were always things that would happen, little things, that would keep my flame of hope lit. I had a dear friend, Carrie, who was going through he EXACT same thing I was, in another state! She, too was selling her farm, moving her practice, experiencing the same feelings I was. So good to know that there was another walking the same journey as I.
Today, I went to the old farm for what may be the last time. While I packed the last few barn items, I replayed in my mind and heart when I built the barn, how wonderful that time had been. Not many get to build their dream barn! I felt as if I was saying “So Long,” but I also sensed that the goodbye had been happening for several years.

It is rather difficult to move forward in our lives if we are holding on to the past. I had to say goodbye, in the midst of not knowing what was in my future. That is what I mean when I speak of discomfort. To hold on, to trust…I am sure that as you are reading this you, too have an area in your life where you need to trust. Trust when the way looks scary. I get it. I really do.
This is now my world: A stunning arena with all-weather footing (no mud!) and lights, a million dollar view from my porch landing, and a whole new bevy of students. We had our first workshop last week, and two of the attendees, who had been to Pony Trail mentioned that they liked this location even BETTER! WOW! That was a blessing to hear!!

A double rainbow over the arena is a lovely touch, don’t you think? Can you see it??
Why, even Tank approves of the gorgeous view!

For those of you who have been touched by The Resonant Horse, we are here to say that we are STILL HERE! We have only moved a few miles away! And, we are so grateful to be able to serve your needs in the Chester County community.
Yes, we will continue to offer Horse Circles…The next one is Saturday, May 8th, from 2:00-3:30, at the new barn. (As long as the rain holds off!) Please join us!
I continue to offer private sessions if you feel you need quality time with the horses and allow them to speak to you in profound ways. I am also offering lessons, both western and english, for those who prefer a mounted experience.
So, whatever your needs…Come and See us!!
